Fran Colley, PH.D. is a research methodologist at Global Concepts in McKinsey’s Payments Practice. She has over ten years of market research experience and currently conducts research on consumer and small business banking and DDAs. In her role with GCI, Fran works with attitudinal and behavioral databases, helping banks and consultants better understand customer needs and motivations. She conducts statistical modeling, including market segmentation, dependence analyses, and customer satisfaction.
Fran’s recent experience includes:
-Multi-dimensional segmentation of small business owners/managers according to DDA preferences, business styles, attitudes, and marketing and targeting potential
-Qualitative research of small business owners/managers, including focus group study and development of hypothesized segments
-Building of consumer DDA archetypes using large-scale survey of major bank offerings
-Development of consumer banking relationship segments, using loan, balance, and fee data from primary and secondary banks
Prior to joining GCI, Fran directed large, multi-wave survey research projects for key global clients in the consumer goods and technology sectors. She managed all statistical and analytical support, employing advanced research techniques including market segmentation, conjoint, key driver modeling, brand equity and positioning models. She prepared and communicated complex research results and to clients including research professionals, in-house marketing personnel, product managers, and executives.
Fran earned a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Georgia Department of Political Science, and her BA from Agnes Scott College.
