Jennifer Johnson - Senior Expert

Jennifer Johnson is a consultant, analyst, and technologist with over 16 years of experience in information technology, EDP auditing, functional analysis, project management, and strategic planning. She excels in coordinating projects and directing client staff to improve payment systems. She is involved in efforts to analyze products and develop strategies that enable banks to improve their quality and productivity, and to increase their revenue generation opportunities. Ms. Johnson has performed various projects within the payment systems consulting practice, including:

Developing strategies for integrated treasury services products for US banks.
Developing image cash management strategies for US banks.
Working with US and UK banks to improve lockbox product and service offerings.
Conducting a variety of market research and analysis projects for financial services providers.
Reengineering and consolidating check operations at major banks in the US.
Reviewing development strategies at major banks in the US. >
Assessing and enhancing the clearing strategy for checks and credits in Poland.
Performing project management and reviewing systems alternatives for a proprietary ACH.
Developing an open-system cash card strategy for the city of Atlanta.
Performing a due diligence for the purchase of an emerging image technology company by a major financial technology provider.

Jenny directed a large-scale change management project at a major, third-party bank card processor. This project included installing change controls (procedures and software), developing and implementing a systems development life cycle methodology, implementing a total quality program, and reorganizing the programming division. This project prepared the company to develop an innovative software product and to meet the requirements of a Baldridge Award-winning client.

She has a great deal of expertise in image processing and has been involved in efforts to determine feasibility, reengineer the business, develop a business case, select vendors and products, and develop overall image implementation strategies. She has also conducted benchmark studies of image document management and item processing applications in the financial services industry. Jenny conducted a detailed benchmark study for consumer lending in which business workflows and cost statistics were developed together to provide a definitive tool for the comparison of eleven banks.

Prior to joining Global Concepts, Jenny was a certified EDP auditor at Southern Company Services, where her experience included instituting controls for LAN-based, end-user computing systems throughout Alabama Power Company, as well as reviewing controls for a variety of systems.

Jenny began her career in Information Resources at Southern Company Services and was instrumental in the analysis and development of an invoice processing system, maintenance of nuclear plant information systems, and database design and training for various applications.

Jenny holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia.
