Sean Sims - Specialist, Manager of The Check Forum

Sean Sims is a Specialist at Global Concepts, where his primary responsibility is to manage the Check Forum. In that role, he researches emerging trends in item processing and collaborates with senior bank operations personnel to facilitate industry dialogue and knowledge sharing on the migration from paper to electronic payments.

Previous to Global Concepts, Sean was a Research Analyst at the Latino Community Credit Union in Durham, North Carolina, where he directed a 6-month survey research project that analyzed Hispanic immigrant banking behavior for the Ford Foundation. He also developed the credit union’s business case for Directo a Mexico, an automated clearing house for remittances from the United States to Mexico, which went live at the credit union in 2006.

Sean received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas A&M University. He later earned a Master of Science in Development Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
