Platform Assessment at Washington Mutual
Observed and assessed the relative strengths and weaknesses of Washington Mutual’s outsourced, check operations platforms in the context of a benchmarking study to better understand the gaps to industry median performance.  The effort included a candid assessment of opportunities for improvement.  McKinsey/Global Concepts provided industry best practice information, performed gap analyses, provided a “size of the prize” opportunity for closing performance gaps, and constructed a roadmap for improving performance. 
 
Payments Performance Measurement Study for a Top-10 Bank
Performed an enterprise-wide payments performance analysis study for a top-10 bank, measuring the volumes, productivity, revenues, costs, and quality of its entire payments business.  Global Concepts provided competitive analysis by comparing the bank’s performance to benchmarks from Global Concepts’ operations performance measurement studies and other industry studies.  The final deliverables included a detailed analysis of the bank’s payments profitability and performance as well as projections for future profitability and strategic risks and opportunities.
