Check Forum Member Benefits

The Check Forum allows leading experts in the item-processing industry to share ideas about how to manage diverse and limited resources in ways that increase profitability and efficiency, to openly question the merits of new technologies, and to argue the importance of market trends. The members of the Check Forum-over 30 financial institutions and technology providers-bring experience and insight to each meeting. Global Concepts provides the following deliverables to Check Forum members.

Roundtable Meetings (Three per year)

The Check Forum convenes three times each year, bringing managers from leading financial institutions together with technology providers to discuss key strategies and emerging trends in check processing. Issues such as image technology and archive, fraud prevention and detection, outsourcing, labor issues, and performance improvement are presented in detailed case studies and discussed in a roundtable environment. Financial institution members may send up to five registered delegates to each of the three annual meetings; technology providers may send up to three.

Strategic Research Reports (Three per year)

Global Concepts' staff critically analyzes the trends, technologies, and strategies driving the item-processing industry. We develop three original research reports and deliver the findings to Forum attendees at each of the three meetings of the Check Forum. These research reports provide a comprehensive look at important aspects of the industry; past topics have included image exchange, remote capture, labor issues, research and adjustments survey information, and truncation penetration. The material is used to foster discussion and debate at each Forum.

Detailed Meeting Summaries (Three per year)

Global Concepts' detailed summaries of all Forum sessions relieve attendees of the burden of taking exhaustive notes. This allows members to take advantage of the extraordinary opportunity to engage their peers from across the industry in substantive discussion of bank case studies and Global Concepts' research. Following each meeting, members will receive a 20-40 page compendium recounting the presentations, questions and answers, and discussion. Meeting summaries serve as a valuable reference to share with non-attending members and often replace attendee trip reports.

Speaker Presentation Booklets (Three per year)

For each meeting of the Forum, Global Concepts prepares a booklet of speakers' presentations. The booklet ensures that all members of the audience have a clear view of each speaker's slides, regardless of seating location in the room. It also supports the lively audience-wide discussions for which all our Forums are known. Attendees have found the booklets to be a convenient format for taking notes and sharing information with colleagues who could not attend the meeting.

Web Access to Deliverables

Research reports, meeting summaries, and presentations are all available in electronic format from Global Concepts' Web site. The online availability of these Check Forum deliverables enables all members of your organization to benefit from member discussions and Global Concepts' research. Instead of photocopying documents or forwarding them via email, individuals who were unable to attend can be supplied with the company's login ID and password to retrieve Check Forum deliverables as needed.
